Throwback Thursday

Throwback to one of the finest weekends I had last year. Jim Corbett is a favourite get away destination for my family, but discovering Koshi River flowing right behind our hotel made it all the more better. The sound of the water hitting the rocks, as the cool Spring breeze blows across your face, makes for the perfect evening. This picture was taken a year ago, but I can still feel the water tickle my toes.

There's a funny
feeling that I get
when I hear your name
Is it just my imagination
or do you feel the same?
Can't you look in my eyes,
Darling
and see that I adore you
Let's take what we already
have
new
and make it something
Won't you tell me you love
me
I know that you care
Would say what's in my
heart?

No I wouldn't dare.

Wednesday 14 March 2018

Every morning I desire to be thinner,
With a slimmer waist, and longer hair.
I wish my nose was smaller
Skin less oily and more fair.
You catch me frowning at the mirror
Eyebrows crossed and hands on my hips
"You're worrying for no reason, Love"
Smiling as you peck me on the lips
You tell me I that think too much
That I should put the thoughts away.
But you've never called me beautiful
Or said I am perfect just this way.
You've never looked deep in my eyes
To tell me I've a heart so pure
This apprehension that you possess
Makes me unconfident and insecure.
Now I don't pray for less wrinkles
Instead, I hope you see the real me.
I just want to fall in love again
With who I am, not what I could be.
How do you find someone
Who thinks like you do
Someone you can count on
And they trust you too
What pleasure do you get
By being quiet and reserved
While everyone is chirping
You just sit and observe
Tell me oh Darling
With whom do you Connect
Who pulls you back together
When you're broken and wrecked?
Teach me how to love
So that I feel complete
Find me that someone
Whom I'd never mistreat
That attachment is what I crave
Deep down in my heart
Someone who'll grow old with me
And will never drift apart
